① Used for the production of acetaldehyde, acetic acid, acetone, pentaerythritol, propargyl alcohol, 1,4- Dibutynediol, 1,4- Butanediol Butadiene, Isoprene, Vinyl chloride Vinyl chloride, Trichloroethylene 、 Tetrachloroethylene vinyl acetate, methyl styrene, vinyl acetylene, vinyl ether, acrylic acid and its esters, and others.
② It is used for metal welding or cutting, as well as for oxy-acetylene welding and cutting. It is also employed in navigation lights and general lighting applications. Moreover, it is widely used as a feedstock in the petrochemical industry for the production of polyvinyl chloride, chloroprene rubber, acetic acid, vinyl acetate, and other chemicals.
③ It is one of the important raw materials for organic synthesis. It is also a monomer used in the synthesis of rubber, synthetic fibers, and plastics.
