The high-purity acetylene gas detection system mainly consists of an alarm controller and detectors—specifically, what we refer to as acetylene gas detectors. The acetylene gas detector employs an imported catalytic combustion gas sensor to continuously monitor the concentration of acetylene in the ambient environment around the clock and display the concentration data in real time. This acetylene detector features explosion-proof and waterproof capabilities, high detection accuracy, exceptional sensitivity, and strong sensor stability.

The high-purity acetylene gas detection system primarily consists of an alarm controller and detectors—specifically, what we refer to as acetylene gas detectors. The acetylene gas detector employs an imported catalytic combustion gas sensor to continuously monitor the concentration of acetylene in the ambient environment around the clock, displaying concentration data in real time. This acetylene detector features explosion-proof and waterproof capabilities, high detection accuracy, exceptional sensitivity, and highly stable sensors.

The high-purity acetylene detector can output a standard 4-20mA signal and can be externally connected to devices such as audible and visual alarm lights, solenoid valves, and exhaust fans. When the detector senses that the acetylene concentration at the site exceeds the threshold, it will activate the audible and visual alarm light and issue an audible and visual alarm signal, while simultaneously opening the solenoid valve and starting the exhaust fan to perform preliminary treatment against the hazards posed by acetylene. Acetylene gas detectors can be widely used in hazardous areas where acetylene gas is present, such as gas works, petroleum facilities, chemical plants, biochemical facilities, pharmaceutical plants, mechanical workshops, fuel/gas stations, cold storage facilities, food processing plants, boiler rooms, and other similar environments.

Since high-purity acetylene is a flammable, colorless, and combustible gas that is difficult to detect, only an acetylene gas detector can scientifically and accurately measure the acetylene concentration in the on-site environment. It can be said that the acetylene gas detector is an essential safety device for the entire plant, responsible for real-time monitoring of acetylene gas concentrations in all production workshops. When installed in the correct and appropriate locations, the detection effectiveness can be greatly enhanced with minimal effort.

So, how do you properly install a high-purity acetylene gas detector?

In fact, the installation of a high-purity acetylene detector primarily involves the installation of the acetylene detector itself. Acetylene gas detectors should be installed in locations where acetylene gas is prone to leakage, where gas flows frequently, and where it tends to accumulate. When selecting the installation location, factors such as the density of the gas being detected, the direction of airflow at the installation site, and the temperature at the installation site should also be taken into account. The specific installation conditions are as follows:

  1. When the detection (or probe) point is located on the upwind side of the release source in the direction of the prevailing wind with lower frequency, the distance between the high-purity acetylene gas detection (or probe) point and the release source should not exceed 15 meters.

  2. When the detection (probe) point is located on the leeward side of the release source in the direction of the prevailing wind at a lower frequency, the distance between the high-purity acetylene gas detection (probe) point and the release source should not exceed 5 meters.

  3. High-purity acetylene gas release sources are located in semi-open workshops that are either enclosed or have poor local ventilation. One detector (probe) can be installed every 10 meters, and the distance between any detector and its corresponding release source within its coverage area should not exceed 5 meters.

High-purity acetylene gas detectors play a crucial role in ensuring safe production at factories and safeguarding the lives of factory employees. Therefore, after purchasing an acetylene gas detector, factory enterprises should install it correctly to ensure it functions as intended.

The above is a summary of some key points about high-purity acetylene gas detectors. We hope this information will be helpful to everyone.
