On July 11, the Ministry of Transport issued a notice on further standardizing the management of road transportation of low-hazard gases in limited-volume cylinders. The notice exempts the transportation of six types of gases under certain conditions: If a single seamless cylinder has a nominal volume not exceeding 50 liters, and the total water capacity of all cylinders of compressed gases (nitrogen, helium, neon, argon, krypton) transported in each transport unit does not exceed 500 liters; if a single seamless cylinder has a nominal volume not exceeding 50 liters, and the net filling weight of xenon transported in each transport unit does not exceed 500 kilograms; or if a single cylinder has a nominal volume not exceeding 175 liters, and each transport unit transports cryogenic liquefied gases (cryogenic liquid nitrogen).

The notice specifies that six types of gases are exempt from certain regulations: If a single seamless cylinder has a nominal volume not exceeding 50 liters, and the total water capacity of all compressed gas cylinders (nitrogen, helium, neon, argon, krypton) transported in each transport unit does not exceed 500 liters; if a single seamless cylinder has a nominal volume not exceeding 50 liters, and the net filling weight of xenon transported in each transport unit does not exceed 500 kilograms; or if a single cylinder has a nominal volume no greater than 175 liters, and the net filling weight of cryogenic liquefied gases (cryogenic liquid nitrogen, cryogenic liquid helium, cryogenic liquid neon, cryogenic liquid argon) transported in each transport unit does not exceed 500 kilograms—such shipments may be exempted from special regulations and treated as ordinary cargo during road transportation.
